Air Compressor FAQ
It really depends on how much air you need, and how often you need it. For example, a small portable compressor is usually only suitable for occasional use to inflate car tyres and handle other DIY activities, whilst a larger (“screw-type”) compressor is much better-suited to consistent professional or industrial use. We recommend getting in touch with our compressed air experts to discuss your needs, especially if you need to get air to various application points around your factory or workshop.
We thoroughly recommend regular maintenance to protect your investment. At a minimum, we recommend changing the oil and filters on a regular basis. The service interval varies depending on the make and model of compressor. At Ace Air, we’re experienced in servicing all types of compressor from all brands, and we can take away the hassle of remembering to schedule your servicing. You might not have quite the right compressor for the job you’re doing. Older compressors are typically not as efficient as the latest generation, and the latest variable speed technologies are much more capable of managing the complex air demands of all processes – for example, if you’ve got a fixed-speed compressor, you could save up to 40% on your energy bills by switching to a new variable speed model.
